A ruined Hogwarts

Chapter 31 Ghost Gathering (Part 2)

"Oh, Merlin's beard! It's been more than three hundred years, right? No living person has attended our party in more than three hundred years..."

The ghost of Gryffindor cheered cheerfully: "Welcome, I mean, of course!"

"Hello, Sir Nicholas." Owen nodded to him, and then said hello to the bloody Barrow floating silently in the corner, "Hello, Sir Barrow."

The ghost of Gryffindor happily spun around twice in the air, perhaps because he was finally called "Sir Nicholas" instead of "Nearly Headless Nick". Although the nickname given to him by the students was not malicious, "almost headless" has been his biggest pain in the past five hundred years... How he wished his head could be completely removed from his neck.

Owen's arrival made the lifeless ghost party lively. Many ghosts who rarely had contact with students were happy to come over to say hello and see what this little guy who dared to attend the ghost party was like.

Owen was suddenly surrounded by silvery ghosts, making him feel that the temperature around him was even lower. He had to move carefully to avoid passing through the body of a ghost.

Almost all the ghosts welcomed Owen's arrival. They probably also hoped that this dead party would add a bit of a living atmosphere. Only a few ghosts were wandering around, looking indifferent to everything.

After the short welcome meeting, Owen found a chair and sat down, watching with interest the ghosts flying around discussing some messy things.

Not far from him sat a short, fat ghost girl, with a melancholy and gloomy face under her thick glasses. After looking into Owen's curious eyes for a moment, her silver and transparent cheeks turned milky white, she yelled and buried her head in the desk.

"Are you Myrtle?" Owen said.

The ghost girl suddenly appeared from under the desk, half of her body still under the desk. She stared straight at Owen, with a layer of tears in her small transparent eyes: "You know my name!" She held her cheek nervously.

Owen smiled awkwardly but politely, then looked away, listening carefully to the topics discussed by the ghosts.

The content discussed by ghosts who have existed for an extremely long time is mostly lackluster. For example, when will a ghost's death anniversary party be held, how many people will be invited, or who will be rushing to attend a certain party at a certain place. Otherwise, they spent most of the time discussing how to deal with the annoying Peeves.

As a special kind of ghost, Peeves can not only touch real objects, but also ghosts. Peeves likes to tease students and castle administrators, and also likes to mess with the ghosts of Hogwarts. Among the ghosts, he is almost hated by everyone. Only the gentle fat monk is willing to say a word for him.

The ghosts put forward various suggestions one after another, and then they were rejected one by one. After a long time, no useful solution was discussed, but most of the ghosts were interested in it. Ms. Gray floated next to Owen with her arms folded, looking at this scene with a cold and arrogant expression, without making any comments.

"This is ghost. In a long boring time, even if you waste time boringly, it becomes something interesting." She said softly to Owen.

Owen nodded slightly. He was not a ghost, so he could not understand some of their psychology.

By the time the ghosts' conversation was almost over, it was already approaching early morning. Owen finally had the chance to stand up and express his request, while secretly moving his frozen legs under the desk.

"That fax machine? I know that many little ones are looking for it recently." The fat monk said in a lively and brisk tone, "There are also many children who have asked me to help find it."

"Yes, I just saw it last night. I heard it is a kind of... um, machine from the Muggle world." Nearly headless Nick nodded.

Owen gently clapped his palms with a flattering smile on his face: "For some reason..." He showed an unspeakable expression and continued: "I urgently need an answer to a question. So, I thought of it. The most informed and well-informed group at Hogwarts..."

"Of course, I am willing to help you." Myrtle said coyly, "If you die one day, I can allow you to use the same toilet with me..." After saying that, she suddenly covered her cheeks and raised her head. Got into the wall.

"It doesn't matter, I will help you keep an eye on it." A knight with an arrow stuck in his forehead said casually.

Most of the ghosts expressed their feelings. For them, they wouldn't go out of their way to look for it, but if they saw it, they would probably remember to tell Owen.

But Irving wanted more than that.

If you want to ask someone to help you fully, you will naturally have to pay a corresponding reward. For ghosts that have existed for an extremely long time, cannot touch real objects, and have lost their magic power and senses of taste, smell, etc., what interests them is nothing more than interesting things when they come into contact with people, as well as fame, prestige, and a sense of accomplishment. Just an intangible thing.

Just like Nearly Headless Nick's dream of joining the Headless Hunters, some popular ghost bands always have ghosts who want to join, and several very famous ghosts have large ghost fans...

"I didn't expect that you all want to help me so enthusiastically," Owen said with a moved face, "Then I should do my best to repay...Ah, let's do this, I wonder if you are interested in Hogwart How about hosting an unprecedented ghost event?"

"It's like this. I have always had a great fondness and curiosity about ghosts. Therefore, I have some friendship with Knight Francis, Sir Stuart and Lady Elizabeth." Owen crossed his fingers on his chest and silently observed the ghosts. They looked excited, and the smiles on their lips deepened a little.

"You...you know them?" Nearly Headless Nick screamed, "They are all the most famous figures among ghosts! And they live in seclusion and have not been seen in public for a long time..."

Owen nodded reservedly, and then said with a serious face: "I can try to invite them over. Of course, I can't say absolutely. After all, it mainly depends on their will... But I promise that I will do my best to repay the favor." Your help to me.”

"I think if such a party can be held in the school, Hogwarts will definitely become the center of ghosts in the country!" Owen's tone was inflammatory, making people ready to move.

Listening to Owen's tempting words, the ghosts were yearning for it and flew around in the air excitedly. There are so many ghosts all over the country, and they are all over the place, and Hogwarts is just one of them. But if Hogwarts can become the center and holy place, then as owners, their status and reputation will be greatly improved.

This is one of the few things they find attractive.

"Please give me some time. After all, I need to consult their opinions and coordinate their time." Then, Owen said sheepishly.

"Of course, don't force it, kid." The fat monk said very calmly and gently.

Ms. Gray looked at Owen thoughtfully, feeling that he was becoming more mysterious. Bloody Barrow's expression was gloomy from beginning to end, his dull eyes looked at the floor, and he did not dare to cast a glance at Ms. Gray. Nearly headless Nick was extremely excited, like a fan eager to meet his idol.

"Go ahead and do it, it doesn't matter if you don't come." Nick reached out and patted Owen's shoulder, but his arm penetrated his chest, "You don't have to waste time on the fax machine, we are best at finding things! "

Owen felt as if a bottle of ice water had been poured into his chest, and he couldn't help but shiver, and goosebumps appeared on his skin. He nodded and tightened his cloak around him.

This ghost gathering finally ended with the ghosts eager to try. After Owen said goodbye to the ghosts, he walked quickly along the deep corridor towards the lounge.

"Phew, I finally got it done, I hope I won't roll over." He chuckled.
