Warhammer: In the Name of the Emperor

Chapter 16 Imperial Frontier: The Battle of Lower Nest

The firelight of guns and the scorching red light of laser guns echo each other, and countless physical bullets and light bullets fly against each other. These deadly weapons originate from the most primitive killing instinct deep in human genes, deep underground. A dance blooms in the low-nest abandoned factory, which is the melody and dance of death.

The two waves of gang members in the Low Nest vented their firepower on each other. These terrifying weapons that were created and were supposed to be used against the enemy of mankind are now actually used against each other most of the time.

Not long after the birth of human civilization, when we were still apes, the first ape made the first weapon out of stone and animal bones. Human civilization has been keen to use these creations against each other.

There's nothing strange about that, right? Whether on the earth or after stepping into the stars, most of the time the harsh environment and cruel beasts are no match for our fellow humans who are equally cunning and good at using tools and strategies, especially in a place like this where there are only people.

Vito leaned against a steel support pillar, which had been punched with several large bullet holes. Physical bullets and laser beams were constantly bombarding the surroundings, but Vito did not panic at all.

He just stood calmly among the corpses. Several corpses were already lying in this corridor. Most of them were either smoking after being hit by laser guns, or were beaten to pieces by physical bullets.

In the main hall of the factory below, the violent members of the Hammer Gang were operating the wood-cutting machine gun with a war cry that was almost like that of a beast, and they were moving towards the other side of the hall in an irrational and crazy way. Abandoned lathes and members of the Devotional Society after mechanical creation.

Vito raised his eyebrows and watched as the heavy logging gun shattered a walking robot that had not yet been equipped with armor plates, while the hiding members of the Pious Society began to flee.

Although these poor people had not even taken a few steps out, they were turned into a hornet's nest by the incoming artillery fire and laser guns.

Vito touched his chin and looked at this chaotic battlefield. He was sure that if the guys from the Mechanicus had already rushed in with laser rifles while loudly cursing the heretics who blasphemed the machine soul.

"It looks like I started the underground war." He touched his chin and looked around the battlefield, looking for an opportunity.

And by the Emperor's blessing, he found it soon.

The devotees of the Pious Society moved and retreated from bunker to bunker, but the Hammer Gang obviously had more heavy weapons and kept bombarding the members of the Pious Society, and they were beaten quite badly.

One of the guys was being suppressed behind a piece of broken machinery. He seemed to have been shot, and he was holding his bloody arm.

Not far away, there was a member of the Pious Society who planned to break through and rescue him, although he himself was suppressed and unable to move.

But judging from the results, he was probably the boss of a certain pious society. Although I don't know if he had a brain attack and rushed directly into the factory controlled by the Hammer Gang.

Or maybe these guys were too pious because the shrine was occupied by some heretic, and they were so angry that they became fanatical.

Vito stood up and took out a strange small instrument from his waist, like some kind of imperial folk gadget.

There was a Mechanicum logo branded on the black and gray flowing shell. Vito shrugged helplessly, "You have to let everyone know that you made those things? Father Omega."

Vito used a scanner to scan the arm of a pious corpse nearby. The blue fluorescent beam streaked across the surface of the coiled snake tattoo. Vito fastened it on his arm, and in the blink of an eye, a tattoo was created. Exactly the same tattoo.

Vito looked at the sign, snorted jokingly, then threw the small machine on the ground, pulled out his bolt gun and pointed it at the thing, "Sorry, Ou."

Gunshots rang out and mechanical fragments flew. Vito squatted down and looked at the corpse and the surrounding corpses. There was a small golden olive symbol under the coiled snake logo on their arms, which was similar to the coiled snake he had seen before. The logo is slightly different.

Maybe to differentiate between branches of the same gang? Well, at least the Space Marines like to distinguish their companies this way.

"Your Excellency, the Emperor." A weak voice said, and Vito looked over. It turned out that the body leaning against the iron door was not a corpse, but a weak and unconscious gang member?

Vito walked up to him and leaned down. The latter looked at Vito weakly, with some confusion in his eyes, "Are you from our gang? From Morven's men? I don't know you."

"I just joined the gang, man. Of course you don't know me, and I didn't expect it to be so exciting as soon as I joined the gang."

"Your Majesty, your Majesty, this is an idiotic move. Damn it, all our gang is dead, only you and me are left." He said weakly, "Boss Morven is dead, you must go and warn him."

He watched Vito stand up with a smile on his face, "Correction of your mistake, friend, is the only one left."

Vito raised the gun and pointed it at his head. To the latter's surprise, Vito pulled the trigger.

Gunfire rang out, and now there was only one survivor left in the Morven branch.

Vito grabbed a laser gun from the ground and put it on his back. He moved his arms, then suddenly turned around and jumped out of the corridor handrail.

Vito ran on a pipe, and the bolt gun in his hand began to roar and roar. The bolts spurted out from the muzzle with flames, shattering a head almost immediately.

Vito jumped down from the pipe on the right side of the main hall and jumped into a Hammer Gang position. Everyone immediately turned around and looked at Vito, but obviously, their nerve reflexes were not as fast as the Inquisitor's.

Vito started his killing dance almost immediately, with bullets blasting continuously, smashing heads and bodies into pieces.

The Hammers started firing hard at Vito, but he was incredibly fast.

Vito moved quickly. At lightning speed, he rushed in front of the gang member armed with a shotgun and fired the bolter directly from his chin, beating half of his face into mud.

Vito grabbed the falling shotgun, raised his hand and fired again. A gang member at close range beside him flew out. Then Vito rolled to avoid a bullet shot, and stood up on one knee after several rolls. Another shot, and the unlucky guy with the laser gun fell out of the bunker.

The suppressed member of the Pious Society popped up his head and looked in the direction of the chaos. He couldn't see what was going on inside, and could only hear a burst of gunshots and screams.

He was surprised to see a man leaping up from behind the bunker and dancing on the roadblocks like an actor in a theater, firing casually as he danced.

Sometimes he disappears, and sometimes he appears suddenly, like a ghost on the battlefield.

Vito jumped up, landed after a spin, pulled out a steel pipe from an abandoned machine, and knocked over a Hammer Gang member.

At the other end of the bunker, the shooter manipulating the heavy logging gun cursed in the rudest terms, turned the muzzle of the gun and poured fire in Vito's direction.

Vito rolled backwards, dodging the first shot, and then sprinted toward a solid bunker, heavy bullets exploding and flying behind him.

Vito hid behind a truck that didn't even have wheels on it. The logging gun violently bombarded the body of the truck, shattering it into pieces.

The young member of the Pious Society did not hesitate, grabbed the laser gun in his hand, aimed and fired. The fire of the laser gun cut through the air, instantly passed through the entire hall space, and instantly burned a hole in the gunman's head.

The suppressive fire stopped, and at this moment, Vito stood up, pointed an earthen rocket launcher he found somewhere at the machine gunner, and pulled the trigger that might explode at any time.

The rockets flew past with a roar, vaporizing the entire shooting position in an instant.

Vito threw away the rocket launcher and jumped out of the Hammers' position and ran backwards. The young Pietists kept firing with laser guns.

He killed several enemies.

Soon, amid some furious cursing and roaring, a few strong men from the Hammer Gang pushed the heavy laser that had been removed from the Chimera onto a podium.

One of the strong men immediately jumped into the design control position and began to let the silent and terrifying machine spirit roar, killing an entire row of pious members in an instant.

The bunker they were in was like paper, and the young members looked at the bright red light of the cannon and shouted, "You better hurry up man!"

He continued to raise the laser gun and fire. He tried to snipe the laser gun shooter, but the entire gun shield blocked the laser beam, which instead caused him to attract the opponent's attention.

The young man looked at the laser beam aimed at him in surprise, but he was lucky because Vito flew up and knocked him down. The laser cannon passed over their heads and shattered countless mechanical components in an instant.

"Let's go!" Vito shouted, pulling the young man up and running together under the blazing red light of the laser cannon. Debris flew across their heads, and the laser beam almost turned into another straight line, cutting through everything they had. See everything.

Vito dragged the young man into the gang boss' hiding place. The injured boss used his only remaining arm to grab the young member and pull him to his side. Because of this, he was able to avoid his own injuries. Both legs were beaten to pieces.

The three of them were hiding behind the bunker. Red light flashed around them from time to time. The high temperature of the laser was getting closer and closer. It seemed that the bunker wouldn't last long.

"Your Majesty! This is a stupid plan, Marshall, you are right, I should." The boss said and groaned.

The young Marshall leaned against the boss with a gun in hand, "Don't say that, sir, in the name of the Emperor, you tried your best to persuade that idiot Luft, and that idiot has already paid the price for his stupidity."

"Although we all pay the price together." The young man said, retracting his elbow to avoid being burned by the laser. The boss looked at Vito, looked at the young man, and saw the tattoo on his arm.

"One of Morven's men? Boy, is Morven still alive?" "No, I think he's dead. Ruft asked us to help, but... well, it looks like I'm the only one left in my gang. "

"That idiot, not only did he cause us heavy losses, but he also killed religious brothers from other gangs! God! He must die a good death!"

The boss was cursing, but the machine gunner seemed to have changed his direction and focused his attention elsewhere. Vito popped his head and looked at him, "Curse him later, Brother Marshall, and help the boss leave."

Marshall nodded affirmatively, put the laser gun on his back and helped the boss to evacuate to one side. Vito stood up and watched the roaring heavy laser gun take off the laser gun on his back.

Vito set up the laser gun on the broken bunker. Vito's eyes pointed at the laser cannon from the aiming slot. His breathing was extremely calm and he pressed the trigger steadily with his finger.

One shot, only one chance.

Vito said taking a long breath, his finger on the trigger, and then pulled the trigger between the next heartbeat.

The light bullets streaked across the battlefield, and one shot flew accurately through the gap between the gun mantlet and the muzzle, and shot through the shooter's head.

The people around were astonished, and then another person was shot in the head by Vito, a third, a fourth, and the remaining people fled the laser cannon in panic and got into the nearest bunker they could find. .

Vito shouldered the laser gun and looked at the Imperial Skyhawk on the broken machine on the side and smiled, "Thanks."
